“Mr. Cavallo is a tremendously talented, multifaceted visual artist. Having also created his own genre using a unique medium (among other extraordinary creative accomplishments Guiliano has become a stronghold in international, modern and popular art culture. His philanthropic efforts have positively impacted many lives, as he volunteers his time, sharing the gift of creating with children and adults alike. Still, he continually seeks new opportunities to culturally enrich his community by teaching others to grow socially and emotionally as he supports artists young and old to refine our creative use of the visual art. Cavallo’s radiant energy and genuine compassion is unsurpassed- he is truly a leader- a model citizen from whom we can learn a few principles and practices that we all should strive to emulate” June 28, 2011

“Giuliano’s works “Lincoln Road” and “Through the Eyes of Love” offer a spiritual perspective that brings the surreal world into our reality. “Lincoln Road” echoes elements of one of my favorite artists, Sallie Ann Glassman. I am most familiar with him as an artist in the same community.” November 12, 2011

Jean Villamizar Artist Curator For this exhibit, Giuliano Cavallo has created Black & White his own rendition of the famous “Rosie the Riveter” from the World War II era. A symbol for women entering the workforce in the 1940’s, “Rosie” became synonymous with a real “Yes We Can” mentality. Cavallo’s take on the traditional offers an even stronger version of this icon of female power: she is a super hero, she is positive and strong. And, despite the negative views society may place on women, and that old stereotype that women can’t do some things or are less than men – simply because of their sex, she offers inspiration to all women in her steely gaze and powerfully modern “Can-Do” attitude. Jean Villamizar.

Giuliano Cavallo is not one to be pigeon-holed. His use of medium, color, style, and genre are so varied and wide I would find it remiss to make such an attempt. Charcoal drawings stand in stark contrast to wildly colorful abstracts. Realistic portraiture with life catching detail compliment directive studies into Escher for just one example. Swirling colors create “Colliding Worlds” and gentle pencil shading create bold statements on mood, and the world around.

Indeed the imagination of Cavallo seems unlimited and opens new vistas for the beholder. Subject matter is equally vast as Giuliano captures all he sees in his world. No image is too simple or complex. A browser’s delight, the Cavallo Gallery is not a rushed experience. The size and content make for the art lover an extended visit and indeed a place of frequent return. Surprises abound in relationship to Cavallo’s choice of subject and medium. He uses all tools in his grasp to capture his subject, and place before his admirers a contemplative work of beauty and thought. ” Reflection ” a Madonna in Art is a great example on how Giuliano cavallo’s takes art to the next level of the semi abstract neon pop art : Abstract Diffusion ” to the next century.

RE: “Beautiful Soul” Giuliano Cavallo’s Princess Dianna inspired “Beautiful Soul” is yet another example of the artist’s amazing ability to capture essence with color, line, and placement. The dark background brings the central image to the forefront of the piece, in an illuminating manner. Much like the darker sides which swirled around the Princess highlighter her to the world. Strong lines define sharp character and at the same time suggest an elegance and vulnerability. Cavallo’s use of color particularly for me brings “Beautiful Soul” into complete harmony. Adding depth, details, and emotional strength to the piece. Bravo, a brilliant testament to a brilliant person! Stone Wall Society Len Rogers

(USA) The feeling I have when I look through “Diana In Art” is one of comraderie and warmth, of course with a touch of sadness at the loss, but it is a celebration of Diana’s loving nature and her generous spirit. It’s also amazing to see the different art from artists all over the world who admired the late Diana. I am one of the artists who contributed to this book, and am honored to be a part of this tastefully written, compiled, and elegantly edited tribute to “The People’s Princess.” There are a few works by famous artists, but also a large selection of lesser-knows (such as myself) who contribute a wide variation of creative styles and personal views of the beautiful Diana through their artwork. I received my copy a few days ago and spent several days reading it, and I am honored to have been a contributor to this touching and very warm tribute to Diana. The selections of quotes by Diana herself, and by friends and family, all contribute to the tone and mood of this tribute to her….she is still terribly missed.

(New Jersey, USA)I do feel she would’ve been fond of this book. There are enlightening quotes from a wide source of admirers that cast light on her spirit and life. I am under the impression that Diana wasn’t the type to distinguish between the powerful and the common in her regard for people. Mem Mehmet follows suit with his selections which include the unknowns as well as the well established in the art world. I believe this was done in harmony with the way of Diana. Some of the work is serious, some strange, some traditional, some modern, and some simply comical. All are valid reminders of the affection and respect that were intended for her with each of these creative efforts. Most of this art is as original and special as Diana was, and all of it honors her. Congratulations Mr Mehmet, for following through with your obvious and deeply felt admiration for a lady you’ve helped forever remain in our memories.

By bibliophile I’ve never been a fan of Madonna’s music, but have admired her willingness to constantly re-invent herself. This new art book shows how others in the art world have viewed Madonna throughout her career. There are sketches, water colors, oils, and works from many other mediums with the artist’s unique view on who (or in some cases, what) Madonna is.If you love art, or love Madonna, this is the book for you. And it makes a perfect gift as well!’

I bought a book in 1984 called “Marilyn In Art”. I always loved to every now and then flip through it because it was so much fun to see the different ways these artists drew or painted (etc) the same subject. I happen to be a longtime Marilyn fan. From what I understand, the author (compiler) of this book, Mem Mehmet, is friends with the author of the twenty year old Marilyn book, Roger G. Taylor (who also did an “Elvis In Art”). I had the paperback version of the Marilyn book, but was lucky enough to get the hardcover version of “Madonna In Art”. I am also a Madonna fan (not as much as a Marilyn fan, but…), this book is a MUST for any fan of Madonna! Fantastic, fun renditions of Madonna in every style imaginable, which also makes it great for any artist or art lover. Along with each piece of art is a quote from Madonna herself or a celebrity or author, etc. about some aspect of the superstar which is fun to read. Unlike my paperback “Marilyn In Art” book, the hardback version of this is of the highest quality. Beneath the attractive book cover, the name is embossed in silver metallic ink (which is used throughout the book). Would make a wonderful gift for Madonna fans, artists, art lovers!!! I’d scoop up the hardcover before it’s only available in paperback! Peoria, IL USA

(Goshen, New York United States) I am a librarian. Over the decades, I have had many art books pass through my hands. The compilation of fine artists by the author is glorious! The author’s rigorous research in finding the artists whom he chose to be included within, certainly substantial. In particular, the artist Susan Victor of murrrbeast.com, is included in this book. It is about time that someone recognized her exceeding works. I would highly recommend this book — especially to those in academia; the field of commercial art and anyone who simply loves art.

(Piney Flats, TN USA) This cavalcade of artist’s visions of the legendary Marilyn Monroe is simply spectacular. Now, being one of the artists featured in this volume has absolutely NOTHING to do with my impression, except to say that I am truly honored to have been included with the dozens of supremely talented individuals whose works comprise this book. As with any field of “art”, it is ultimately the viewer whose impression is the true judge. So, some will find the most sublime images too “ordinary” and, some will find the more abstract works the most “visionary”. But, whatever your taste in art, there is something here you will find most satisfying. Monroe’s image has proven it can stand the test of time and, these images, all the various facets of the diamond we call “Marilyn”, are testament to that fact.

Marilyn Monroe was an icon of our time. It is hard to believe that if she had lived she would have just had her eightieth birthday. And it’s hard to believe that she has been dead for forty four years. She was only 36 when she died. This book, MARILYN IN ART is a beautiful collection of drawings made of her by a wide variety of artists. In some cases she is cartoon like, others more like classical photographs. Each seems to manage to capture some essence of the woman. The art is combined with short quotes from a wide range of people who knew her, worked with her, photographed her or had some kind of relationship with her. The book doesn’t attempt to answer any of the questions about her death, it doesn’t go into a psychological analysis of the likelihood of suicide. Instead it is a tribute to her, to her work, to the times she helped to create. And in this it is a great book. Perhaps the art shows more of the inside of Marilyn than photographs could. It’s a book hard to put down, even after you’ve been through it once. Winnemucca, NV

Pulaski, NY) The newly released, beautifully rich looking book “Marilyn in Art” is simply stunning in its wide range of artistic interpretations of Marilyn Monroe. Each image is accompanied by fitting quotes – many expressing the wit, charm, sensitive and intellectual Marilyn. I, William Davies, am immensely flattered to be included with so many talented artist, having five drawing selected for Rogers book. Those who hold great admiration for the ageless Marilyn will find “Marilyn in Art” fascinating, attractive and a must have book by Roger Taylor.

(Greece) The book has finally reached me and waiting for it was well worth it. What a great feeling to see some of my art work in it! A lot of the art works published in it is truly beautiful and there is everything to fit all tastes! What a pleasure it is to see some friends’ paintings: William Davies, Albert Leonard, Mary Belzunce, Frederic Cabanas… Thank you to Roger Taylor for compiling such a superb book.A must for all fans! Marc Gélis

Portland, Oregon) I just received my book yesterday and read it cover to cover immediately! The art contained within this collection is a sight to behold. There are many different styles to appeal to all different tastes and the wonderful quotes add so much to each page! It is a beautiful tribute to an amazingly beautiful woman! And having one of my own paintings featured in this book has also been a dream come true for me. If you love Marilyn, buy this book!!

(Zion, Illinois United States)This is an awesome book for any Marilyn Monroe fan – hundreds of amazing art images, most rarely seen. There was a time in the 20s and 30s when movie stars were not photographed for magazine covers but drawn by artists. MM missed that period during her life but she is now probably the subject of the work of more artists than any movie star before or since – many of these art works are to be found in this lavishly illustrated volume. Highly recommended!

1 Fan – United Kingdom I don’t know if you could see what I meant when I thought your pics presented a deeper image, more energized image than the normal look of a subject, it’s hard to explain really, but if you think that everything has energy within it then that is what is depicted in your subjects, like an inner glow of different shades and strengths in different parts of ‘the body’ or ‘the landscape’ etc. I have a passion for folds in fabric especially satin, velvet, cotton and lots of others and your work incorporates this kind of effect…..like in ‘Sadness’ I love the red folds, I even didn’t see the Eiffel Tower at first! Things do seem to reveal themselves after the first look

Theresa Sumrall – Papua New Guinea I am looking through your portfolio as I type this. So far, I am quite awed by what I see. You seem to place a lot of feeling and care into your work, as any passionate soul would. That is a quality that I find appealing. Perhaps because I do the same, in my own right. It was a pleasure to have this chance to take a peek into your mind and world. I would like to hear more about you and how you work. Also, feel free to elaborate on why you contacted me. Hope to hear from you soon. Sincerely, Theresa Sumrall

Your Number 1 Fan – United Kingdom Seriously, you have such a skill it makes me wither away into a corner. I’m sure you can do anything in art that you like. I’d love to watch you work! Well I could rave on and on about you, you know how much I like your stuff. I wish I could be there to share some of that with you, you could teach me so much! I think you should make me a video! Ok, I always want too much! I think I would fall in love with you if I saw you painting your own originals, they are so beautiful and I would just want to keep you as my treasured being. If you think of me while you paint sometimes perhaps in that way I can be there with you and I can sit and imagine it, it would be wonderful!

Lauren Brandon – United States I just wanted to say that Giuliano Cavallo’s abstract artwork, is some of the most beautiful and colorful art I have ever seen. *thumbs-up* ROCK ON!

Sabrina – Papua New Guinea I really like your paintings. They are great. You are very talented. What artist inspires you the most? You have this unique artistic technique. It is very unusual. I don’t think I have ever seen anyone who can paint so well and at the same time be unique. Your colors seems so bright, almost neon. It is as if rice fell on the ground and slowly arranged itself to create a powerful image. I love the hands, which Michael Angelo’s God Creation painting shows. I went to Italy in my Junior year in High School and I had the opportunity to see the statue of David and and many other paintings and statues. I also went to France and saw Mona Lisa, Venus and many others. It was unbelievable. So beautiful. I loved it. Your paintings and the colors you use show much energy. It is great. God bless. Sabrina

Ewward W. Smith Jr. Foundation Dear Mr Cavallo Thank you so much for your very kind letter. I am especially thankful for the fine and beautiful art work you sent us. I will place these in a prominent place so that anyone visiting our office will be able to see them. I have fowarded a copy of your letter to the other trustees to appreciate the fact that our donation to Starting Over was meaningful. I wish you good luck and hope that you stay on course with your Art Work. You are indeed very talented. Sincerely yours Jack Appel, Trustee

Sharon Galli I remember your art very well from DART cafe. You have a remarkable talent. I have always admired your work very much. It looks like your doing very well and I am glad to have viewed your work. I will probably make a purchase later. How is it going? Are you making pretty good money? I have been trying to find different ways to make money at art but have not sold anything yet,so that’s why I am asking. Great to see your work again. You are very creative and very talented. Sincerely, Sharon Galli

Mary Your work is amazing! Fluidity and depth in your unique style. I wish you the best the world has to offer. Believing in yourself, hard work, diligence, nobility……….I feel, when viewing your art. That is a great thing. I wish you continued success.

Guy Rosemellia Thank you for taking time out of your day to respond to my inquiry about art. You touched on some areas I had not considered before. These will be helpful in putting my composition together. It was important to me to get your opinion. You have an extensive portfolio of art, which tells me you also have, and extensive art background. I see to that you have thought provoking art, which I appreciate. Your art says interesting things some of which you may not realize because we individually will interpret differently. I probably should have defined my bad art meaning better, but I was speaking more in line with respect. Some thought provoking artists do not consider the sensitivities of people when putting together their work. They can say the same message just by being a little more creative but they do not put the time in that part of the thinking process. Damien Hirst posing with the decapitated head of and old man and selling it as art seemed to lack artistic talent. This seems taste less with no redeeming value. This head could be the head of your grandfather; it then would have a different meaning other than.

Ashley Hey guilano Thanks fo the compliment. oh no delay either take your time. It’s not much sight seeing over where i live but i do wish to travel the world to see great places and scenery. i bet it really is beautiful down there, no doubt. I have been drawing since about 5 or 6 i believe and got better at it as i went along. All i have been working with greatly is pencil and shading. I wouldn’t mind working in other areas of art either if i just had more practice and training. I wouldn’t mind doing a show you, i think that would be excitind and new to me. Thanks for the advice, i’ll mos definetely put it use and continue upgrading my skills. best of wishes to u 2 Ashley

Anja Hi! I think it’s a very good Madonna artwork! I have been a huge Madonna fan since 1989. I love Madonna more than anything in this world. My biggest moment was that I saw Madonna live in Berlin on 19.06.2001. It was so cool, I was standing 4-5 meters from the scene. But unfortunately my camera was taking, so if anyone out there have got some pictures from one of her concerts, please contact me. I’m also seeking Madonna pen-pals from all over the world. Madonna Forever!!! Hey giuliano you ROCK !!! love Anja

Monika &; Julia Madonna, I am not sure if you have time to read this comments section. My friend, Julia and I have been searching all over the internet for your various memorabilia, in particular, your Rochester High School yearbook. We have two of them from your Freshman and Sophmore years. We haven’t seen any listings for this collectible and are looking for interested buyers. Would this be something you would like to list on your website? Although they are our PRIZE POSSESIONS over any other collectible we have of you, we would be interested in trading for your Sex book and/or your MTV World Premiere Video of Dress You Up (Detroit, MI 1984 Virgin Tour). I was in your video and met you at your after party. We are mostly interested in the Sex book, because Julia was too young back then to purchase it! Anything rare would be appreciated. Thanks for your time and hope to hear back from you. Sincerely your top fans, Monika Shumylo and Julia Parrish

Michelle Great website! Great to see that it is created by a man. Madonna will be proud. You lucky thing working as a website designer. I am creating a site based on Madonna also. I love designing and playing about with graphics and images. Keep it up. Best wishes….. Michelle

augustobordelois Giuliano: I’ll feature your art soon (the next 4 weeks are already designed, so it would be after that.) Thanks so much for all the info. One question, do you ever sleep? How do you keep all your sites updated and running? You must be the poster-child of electronic art promotion. A very good businessman, indeed. I’ll hold art-marketing talks at different places (colledge and art schools where I’m invited as speaker) once in a while. If you don’t mind I would like to start showing your site as an example of artist entrepreneurship. I’m truely impressed. Thanks Augusto

People hire us to set up radio interviews for them with stations in the U.S. and Canada. If you would like some information, just email me back and I’ll be glad to get it to you.
